Starting out as a clipper or UGC creator

Quick answer. Everything you need before your first paid video: what the job is, what equipment it actually takes, where the work comes from, and which of the requirements people worry about are real. Most of them are not.

Two different jobs, one starting point

Clipping is cutting footage a brand supplies. UGC is filming something original with the product in it. Both pay per verified view here and neither needs an audience, but they ask for different things from you — one is editing, the other is production. The guides below cover both, and the first decision is which one you want to do.

The requirement nobody needs

Followers. Pay follows views, and reach on short-form platforms comes from retention rather than follower count, which is why a new account can out-earn an old one. It is the single most common reason people decide this is not for them, and it is not true.

What the first week actually looks like

One video, made for a product you already own, finished rather than perfected. The limiting factor early on is almost never access to campaigns — it is having a video good enough that the brief is met. Most people clear that bar in the first month of making things consistently.
